Fudgy Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs, divided

1 teaspoon vanilla

½ cup cocoa powder

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ + ⅛ teaspoon salt, divided

½ cup dark brown sugar

½ cup corn syrup

¾ cup chopped pecans

⅓ cup chocolate chips


Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper, or grease with cooking spray.

  3. Whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar.

  4. ‌Add one egg and vanilla extract, and whisk to combine.

  5. ‌Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and ½ teaspoon salt.

  6. ‌Spread the batter into the prepared pan.

  7. ‌Bake the brownies for 25 minutes, or until almost cooked through.

  8. ‌Meanwhile, whisk together the brown sugar, corn syrup, remaining egg, and ⅛ teaspoon salt.

  9. Stir in the pecans and chocolate chips.

  10. Pour over the cooked brownies, and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the topping is set.

  11. Let cool completely before slicing.
